The cylinder diameter of this mud gas separator is 1.2 meters, and the length is 5 meters. The volume of the tank can reach 6 cubic meters. The designed pressure is 392PSI, while the daily liquid processing capacity can reach 8000 cubic meters and daily gas removal can reach 150,000 cubic meters. This equipment can remove air bubbles with diameters greater than 3mm, prevent blowout, well kick, and other major safety accidents.
The working principle of this mud gas separator is actually simple. The gas-invading drilling fluid enters the separator from the liquid inlet and is scattered on a series of internal baffles after colliding with the impact plate.After the collision, the exposed surface area is increased and flows downward, causing turbulence, breaking large bubbles and separating them from the drilling fluid.
