The role of centrifugal pump casing

After the liquid enters the impeller, the direction of the liquid flow is changed. The suction port of the impeller and the discharge port are at right angles, and the flow direction of the liquid after the impeller is at right angles to the axis. This kind of pump is called a centrifugal pump. The centrifugal pump is mainly composed of six parts: rotating part, pump case part, sealing part, balance part, bearing part and transmission part.

The pump case of a centrifugal pump is very important for a centrifugal pump. The main materials are stainless steel, cast iron, fluoroplastic alloy and other materials. The pump case is generally made of a snail shape, and the impeller deviates from the center position to form a snail-shaped water outlet channel, which prevents the water from revolving in the pump case repeatedly, which can reduce flow loss and reduce radial force.

The role of centrifugal pump casing

The main functions of the pump case are:

1. Import the liquid evenly into the impeller, and collect the liquid flowing out of the impeller at high speed, and send it to the lower impeller or guide the outlet (change the flow direction of the liquid)

2. Realize energy conversion, change energy into pressure energy

3. Connect other components and play a supporting role

Requirements for the pump case: The pump case should be tight, tight, have sufficient strength and rigidity, and the flow channel of the pump body and pump cover should be smooth and light in quality.
